No no he’s pretty clear most the time but she keeps misunderstanding things. Like he gets worried that she eats too quickly and tell her to take her time. He tries to give her gifts and when he found out she was reading books, he gave her some that were more entertaining and interesting for her. However the main girl is really dense and thinks that he thinks she’s pathetic and stuff. Personally I really like the father though cause after she breaks up with the guy, he asked her what’s her type and went around to look for her ideal guy and even went to someone’s house just to say they’re not good enough. He’s very adorable but I guess it’s cause he has a rest b face so maybe that’s why she misunderstood. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That and probably because of what happened in the past when she came looking for him when she was a child.
