that a very good point, I totally forgot about the assassins thing they have to handle like every single day. and it again more of a reason to her, you know, act mature like she should have from the start and try to actually sit and talk to him.
also those assassins can kidnap her to threaten the duke since he is her husband, so in a way like you said he is her shield.
