Yeah thats why I said "at least how I remember it".... because its been a while since I read the novel. Cuz I thought the bracelet that the ML gave her shined whenever she used it because it signified pieces of her lifespan getting used away, thats why he was like shocked and shit, cuz he had powers of his own and he knew the consequences, and he didnt want her to end up like him or smthing like that
Draining = becoming weak/tired, it doesn't necessarily mean they will die rlly early but with power does come consequences thats why she's always so tired after she uses them
