May I add that this is not the first time that Athy feel nervous around Lucas, for example the time that Athy saw the adult form of Lucas after the discussion that they had at the library with Ejekiel. I really loved that moment, even I read it over and over again
Athy’s reaction to Lucas kissing her hand is drastically different than when Ezekiel kissed her hand, (you could argue she was trying to keep her composure) but I feel like Athy’s feelings for Lucas are stronger than the feelings she might harbor for Ezekiel. She’s never really thought of him romantically and in the most recent chapter she was just trying to figure out stuff about what happened in the novel and what is going on now, never really said she felt anything for Ezekiel. There is a possibility she might realize or begin to have feelings for him now that she knows he likes her.
