I wonder how they would make them available for overseas fans? I'm guessing, since the point is to give the proper profit to artist and publisher, through payment (like probably some sort of netflix kind of system?). I guess it's a good thing, well at least for the publishers and artists.

i'm not joking at all. 100% serious. if they shut down these sites, i will cry. full on hugging my head into my knees, whaling.

Well... it's more like putting more strict regulations on copyrighted animes/mangas. It's not like we won't get to see/read them ever again. And there are companies like funimation and crunchyroll that go through legal procedures which makes the work legally available.

Shit shit shit shit. I will just read and screenshot any manga I can come across right now.

Whoa, this is so worrisome. It's good that more people will support the artists by buying the hardcopies when they're licensed I suppose. But the bad thing about this is that if the Western version sucks coz they can't give the same amount of love to the project as scanlators do (Idk if u guys know of Saezuru's digital version but it was horrific). Also, I doubt that obscure works will be picked up by the publishers. If they're seriously gonna do this to us, I'll curl myself into a ball in the dark corner of my room and will never get out.
