Because Akito is underage and Yuichiro dotted on Akito since the day he was born. That's why it's weird. Plus Yuichiro has and always will think of Akito as his son. It was not characteristic of him to fall in romantic love with Akito. But he had to change otherwise there would be no story. Gotta fit the yaoi narrative. But to me it didnt feel very believable that Yuichiro fell in love with Akito. He never acted creepy around him, always gave him fatherly care. Akito is the weird twisted one lol
