I can't agree more!!! The feeling is something else.
1 in like 30 webtoons have a decent plot, call me old fashioned or whatever but the japanese authors are top notch in terms of being creative (especially outside the fantasy genre) not to mention that is just more relaxing to read in black n white, at least for me

Damn human you just spoke my mind! And this may seem biased but jap mangas were the ones who introduced the yaoi world! and tbh manhwas these days are so similar that the art is their only savior.
Exactly! I don't get the hype over most manhuas you see on the trending page, most are hollow plot less drivel with clichéd and soulless characters, but it's alright because SPARKLING Art.
Yep. And tbh most of the manga artists keep their traditional style intact even tho they have gone digital and I respect that. They don't wanna lose their styles just to follow the trend.

I don't get why korean comics are way more popular nowadays when their plots are not so good or elaborated ( I respect their opinions though and I'm not saying all of them are like that) as japanese mangas, I prefer a good story with good characters not just nonsense smut with dumb cliches ╥﹏╥
There maybe a lot of reasons. 1. The number of jap translators are fairly easy to find. 2. Increased Korean Culture 3. Easy to buy/Free Raws 4. Webtoons most of them whereas japanese until recently had only hard copies. 5. No of chapters are longer in manhwas 6. Full colored. 7. Better art quality cause of digital production. 8. Faster translation cause more korean translations
