Yes, I think I saw a video a while back on when China had the one child rule thing and a ton of baby girls needed up in foster care or were abandoned. Like my friend and her sister was sent to America with their aunt and all her brothers live with her parents at homeland China.

China has a a law that limited the number of children you could have. I think the max you have was 2. Because of the historical oppression of females, they decided to regard boys as being higher worth. Not only did it result in abortions of females, it also resulted in execution of girls due to families finally giving birth to boys after reaching the limit. The law is not present anymore. However, because of it, China currently faces a problem of now having enough women. I believe there is over 40 million men more than woman. There's not enough women for all men to marry and marrying a foreigner is discouraged. Some men have resorted to paying for surrogate mothers overseas in order to at least get a baby and continue their family lineage. I have a friend who's a surrogate for a single Chinese man.
