It's always so sad with stories like these. Sovieshu and Navier had a good relationship when they were younger. They were childish, fun and innocent. Then they grew. Grew distant, grew apart, grew cold. In comes the new woman, then the man will be delighted to find another fun woman who he will endlessly compare to his now cold wife. So sad.

Just two lonely souls who could have been better in time if they had talked. (I read a lot of isekai like this. Childhood sweethearts turned fiances then they break apart badly when the other woman is introduced, for the plot of course so then a new man the ML comes in.) I don't know why, but it's just a little sad for me. Of course, nothing of this excuses their disgusting behavior after being influenced by the other woman. They are now just cannon fodder for the plot (as Su Lüxia would have said it). I just always feel heavy whenever their past gets revealed, like this, but in the present time, the man has become a total dick with a misunderstood FL.
