Sis you hit the nail on the head!! I also agree and wish there were more Alex POV, and I agree what you generally said! I actually really liked Brad cuz idk he seemed like a nice guy, and he would definitely treat Cole better, but at the same time Cole and him just wouldn’t work out...Cole needs someone who’s actually as crazy as him, and Alex fits that role perfectly. Even tho we all probably thought in the beginning that Alex was the “normal” average popular guy, we have seen throughout the story that Alex is just as “crazy” or maybe ABNORMAL is a better word, as Cole? In other words, they are actually the perfect partners for EACH OTHER lol
Tbh I don't hate Alex but I was very skeptical about him AT FIRST cuz ... I don't feel a passionate or romantic vibe from him since he was only attracted to Cole's eyes at the first place and their compatibility when it comes to sex so I only saw him as FUK BOI......BUTTTTTT Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
He was actually pissed off at the whole situation that his best friend is being serious with Cole and the kissed did bothered him a lot... He is afraid to lose Cole even though he realized that Cole won't run away even if he hurts him badly ALSO seeing Alex's face being sad and depressed with the whole situation hurts a lot... ╥﹏╥

So I think they were meant to be together cuz I think they're are the only ones who can understand each other's fucked up personality despite being toxic (even Cole knows they don't have a healthy relationship) BUT hope things will work out for them so they can get healthier y'know
