We don't know what happened in the past and in this chapter his brother is sus for some reason. Idk but both saint and Theodore are victims. Author showed us very few parts of past. I don't think so he did something like this. Maybe what actually happened in past timeline when she became duchess Theo wants to stop that but let her became knight (maybe he hide his father announced it as he died) uri became duke but again she died so this time he's trying to stop her from becoming both duchess and knight.

Here uris character is weak and lamia over confidence. She judge people. Her views are limited too. Uri called Theo's mum witch, which was extremely triggered for him. He knew still did that. Here nobody ever considered how theo will feel or feltin the past.
If uri doesn't have any ulterior motives why did he hide the truth?
