But like

I hate biphobia plots in yaoi for sure, no question. But I don't think this is that? Like, he didn't seem worried the seme would cheat on him because he's bi. He sounded more worried that "oh no he's got even more options, is super cool, I can't compare with that."

I might be wrong, but what ticks me off is when authors portray bi characters as more likely to cheat, which is a load of BS. But I just think this is a case of the self-doubt that got magnified by seme being okay with dating both guys and girls, since it is, in theory, a bigger dating pool.

Yeah I don’t understand why we would cheat more. In any relationship you would trust your partner to be faithful and understand their boundaries. Doesn’t matter if I have a bigger dating pool when I already have someone. But yeah I get the doubt it creates. I feel like if you doubt it that much, you’re not in a healthy relationship if you can’t trust your lover.

you can be scared to be cheated on or whatever in any kind of relationship no matter what yours or your partner sexual orientations is and it’s not bi or homo phobia. I respect all kinds of sexuality and support them but im sorry to say this i know you probably aren’t homo/bi phobic but for me looking for homo/bi phobia everywhere is more homo/bi phobic than actually being homo/bi phobic. i don’t know if this make any sense i hope you get what i mean

I don't really, given the rampant history of biphobia in yaoi, and that this was a comment I made as a general response to others calling what the author did biphobic. Many yaois have a problem with portraying bisexuals as more likely to cheat, because of this idea that if they can date a woman, they will want to do so. Characters will struggle to accept the relationship just cuz they're doubtful because the person is bi. I don't see how that *isn't* biphobia. And I was saying I don't think the author did that here.

100% agreed. I hate the toxic way bisexuals are treated in yaoi. Are there scummy cheaters of every sexuality? Yes, but bisexuals aren't more likely to cheat. If someone's out there getting with anyone they're attracted to, despite being in a relationship, that's cuz they're a scummy person, and not due to their sexuality.
