It’s not that he wanted an old man specifically but he went to the city in order to connect with someone who has a similar sexual orientation. Imo, I think he didn’t want to be picky or rude. There’s also a cultural difference. In my country in particular, it’s pretty tough to outright say no compared to how the west usually is. I don’t wanna judge a real person’s choice or I’ll sound like an ass. Just pure speculation. We should just move on.
