Full yakuza tattoos usually cover pectorals, shoulders, partial or full arm, back, and buttocks. Sometimes they go onto the thighs as well. Google yakuza tattoos and you can see some cool pictures.

I'm not sure. They're obviously based off of yakuza tattoos, and other characters in the story have similar ones. I don't think that this is actually in korea (at least I don't think the author has said it was). I think that the author most likely blended several different asian cultures (primarily japanese and south korean) as a base for this. Just speculation though.

I think it is Korea. I went back to check and in chapter 5 they mention a Chinese mafia leader causing issues for the korean groups.
Since I’m on my phone anyways I gave it a goog, there does exist a korean yakuza but it’s appears to be groups in Japan made up of Koreans. Korean organized crime is called Jo-Pak and googing Jo-Pak tattoos has beautiful full body shit like Park Taeseungs.
