but... why tho?

I mean yes your family power is extending and yes the other nobles could use it to provoke the royal family and cause the ruin of your family. But i dont understand how simply giving the royals a chance to attack your family by using you as an excuse solves the problem? If your family is so powerful, the royals could not just crush you without a reason but you are giving them the REASON. If your family has not grown too much yet, then just WARN your father about his future relationships with the royal family and other noble families. Maybe thats an BETTER IDEA? Maybe getting along with the future rulers, the prince and the girl Alicia, idk, is better than actually OPPOSING them since you are so afraid of the royal family.

I rather her being an airhead than this stupid logic of hers. If you suddenly decide to turn a fun, aimless character into a calculated and wise person, the logic doesnt work generally. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

I actually think her logic makes sense
Getting more buddy-buddy with the royal fam will just make them even more powerful- which wouldn’t help
Falling a little into ruin is one option
I don’t think it’s the only one though
Maybe they can do something else that will make them less of threat to the royal fam
Like coming up with an excuse to pledge their loyalty to them
Maybe making a statue or in honor of the king or someone to show their loyalty?

yea, a problem is tho she's part of the aristocratic faction with her family being widely acknowledged for leading said faction, when in actuality, they will be taken advantage of. Her logic, albeit self destructive and seemingly flawed, makes sense. But idrk if making a pledge or building a statue could help, if they're still going to unknowingly be taken advantage of by the other aristocratic fams. So "falling into ruin" is a surefire way to not only harm their reputability, but also their power so that they won't be used to spearhead the underhanded goals of certain aristocrats opposing the royals.
