That's what I'm wondering too Mia cause 1) you literally just met the guy, 2) On your first encounter he tried to kill you and, 3) The only time he shows anything more than passive interest in you is when he's asking something related to his wife so yeah it don't make no fucking sense. It'd be more logical if she had feeling for the Empress actually.
