The guy had major inferiority complex. He thought "C" would be a character who was just like him. Someone who felt inferior and was depressed because no mstter how much they struggled others were simply superior or gifted.
With Ethan he also felt dominated ( throwback to that drinking party) and thought Ethan looked down on him. That plus the fact the fact that Jimmy knew C was Ethan made Dominic feel even more inferior. So he lashed it out on Ethan.

I understand how he felt but the red haired guy needs to be punched, he doesn’t have to go that far like that last part was unnecessary
This story was good and all but the only thibg i don't quite understand is the behavior of that red haired guy. Why did he do that?
