I see where you're coming from but even with a traumatic past, that would only explain his actions, not justify them in anyway.
Any kind of happy ending would feel wrong imo but oh well.
I get what you mean, "justified" may be too strong a word.
I'm with you on feeling that any kind of happy ending would be wrong but if the story does go there it will go there by minimizing the severity of the seme's actions and getting the uke and the readers to sympathize with the seme. I hope I'm wrong though lol.
As expected, they go the route of romanticizing the rape and abuse. Give the seme some heartbreaking backstory, a well meaning reason for his actions, maybe a bit of remorse down the line, the uke starts getting attached and then tada!!! kidnapping and torture justified, forgiven, brushed off, and story will eventually end with them in love, having sex, happily ever after.
