I liked it, because the characters are not easy to understand, their relationship resolves around a fight for power. The ML is a drug addict and needs to feel in "control" of his life, so of course, he doesn't welcome the marriage but, his wife is no pushover, she knows what she is doing and would never let him do something she doesn't want. So no rape, Ingrid is not as innocent as she seems.
She's not selfish either, she gets some freedom from their relationship at the cost of his, so she sticks with him no matter the state he's in. I actually really like their relationship, even if there is no love because they do respect each other in their own way
Even if it wasn't rape (which it is) the plot isn't coherent, the main characters motivations are dubious, not to mention the fact that the fl once again has no personality. Like her whole characterization is serving men or tricking them.... That's not a personality. It starts off as the fl POV but then switched to the ml which would be fine if the author did it well, but they didn't. If you are a woman or a person with basic morals, I don't recommend this because of the sheer amount of sexual violence and mysoginy. It's really disgusting. I mean good on you for enjoying it I guess but I would definitely not advise you to recommend this to normal people with principles and standards.
I disagree with everything you just said about FL and ML. both of them are horrible assholes that should just die for all I care. the FL is the definition of selfish and manipulative that can go and die for all I care, the ML is an asshole prick that hates women and treats them like trash and sees them has trash. and rape the FL cause he can.
so I say for short I totally DISAGREE with everything you just said.

Is this worth reading????
