To clear some things up, in the empire tea is considered barbaric and very uncommon. They usually drink coffee and wine so I doubt there would be any professional tea brewers around.

But the aristocrats regard tea as something barbaric and that's the main reason as to why they avoid drinking and selling tea since it won't make any profit instead it will become a loss for them because of the expenses for buying tea and the proper utensils for it and there are some people who tried to drink tea but since they don't know that much about tea because it is considered barbaric they probably made a mistake in preparing it. And maybe they didn't know the existence of a tea brewer because like in ch 14/15 (?) The people Chloe invited thought that the tea cups were interesting because they didn't have handles and thought that the kettle was kinda unusual since it is different from the utensils used for coffee.

You see in this webtoon Alphonse's character is deep well at least to me. And he'll grafuate from assholeness and become good husband material.

story and characters also need time to develop. so if youre not willing to wait for development i dont think you will enjoy any story.

The thing about Alphonse is that he was brought up to not show any emotions. If he did he would be locked in a closet and not given food, so he doesn't really know who to feel bad for others. The way his father taught him was that emotions ore for the weak so he saw his wife as a weak person.

secondly, just because you were hurt, doesnt mean that you have the right to hurt those around you. just because he was told to mask his emotions, doesnt mean he can ignore his 'wife' whose life is hell, which he knows.

Yes she was being bullied but remember his father taught him that emotions were useless things. An emotion that people feel when seeing others bullied is pity and compassion. He wasn't allowed to feel so he couldn't feel bad for her

I believe the maids and butlers bullied Chloe in secret?? I'm pretty sure if he found out she was being bullied he would take that as a disrespect to him as Chloe is still his wife. Remember when previous Chloe messed up on the finances and the butler told her he would keep it a secret? Yeah. He never knew about it. He was very unaware of the fact she was being bullied. I believe you made it up to the part where Chloe tells one of the maids if she's saying her authority is higher than Chloe'a because if she is, that means she is also questioning the authority of the duke, which the maids are afraid of. He became interested in Chloe when the Captain mentioned that the knights drank tea with his wife. Also, the fact that their marriage is completely political. Chloe was the best candidate wife for Alphones because of, if I remember correctly, she wouldn't fall in love with him but that could be the wrong reason. Either way their marriage is political. Meaning they don't have to love or be interested in one other. Hopefully that clears some things up!! I really like this story so I just wanted to defend it! I'm not trying to be toxic at all!
