Later on it was shown that he just doesn’t want hinase to die due to being sexless for so long. The oldest sexless person died an he had heard about it from his brother. I can’t remember what chapter it was but he said he didn’t mind if hinase was a boy
I think i was being a little too harsh on shiori yesterday but even if his intention is to help hinase live longer, i still think that its selfish for him to say that he wont stop trying to make hinase a girl even if they hate it. I understand hes desperate because time is running short but that still doesnt make it right to pressure hinase into becoming the gender that HE as in shiori wants, even if they hate it. The part where shiori said in his head that he wouldnt mind if hinase decided to become a boy if they hated him kind of confused me because then later he says the line where even if their response is to hate him, he still wouldnt stop trying to turn them into a girl. What does that first line even mean? Ive been trying to process this in my brain for like the past 10 minutes and i think i may have fried it. Anyways my point is that shiori is being too selfish with pressuring hinase into becoming a girl even if they hate it (i feel like ive written that so many times). Him using female pronouns with hinase too also just makes it seem like hes already decided that hinase is a girl which i guess in his eyes they are a girl but he really shouldnt be using female pronouns when hinase is still confused and has not decided on a gender yet. I agree with you but I just think that he’s mixing up feelings of friendship with love. I believe that he does love hinase , but only platonically and the only way he can make sure that hinase doesn’t die from being gender less is to say he loves hinase. I do feel like he’s pressuring someone but he has the right idea in mind he just has a horrible follow through
if he was such as a selfless person he should arrange the thing with the girl so they can cooperate their work into turning hanase into a gender and not confusing them more
or just back off 'cause the mixed signals from both of them is hurting the situation even more
like the situation could be so much simpler if he just told the girl
