Yes, this is just so sweet, even if Jian Yi and He Tian might be gay and all is not like straight guys can't go naked in water, native people used to shower together in rivers and no one cared, girls a lot of times in gym shower together but then we have a fuss when it comes to boys, is just sexist and homophobic

I'm italian and my family is not the best as well, especially when it comes to race or black people, far more than homosexuality, sometimes I honestly think that the only way of changing is teaching kids because the older generations are gone, at least with italians they are like stubborn af, my grandpa would rather die than to belive that hes equal to a black guy

I also believe that older generations are gone, specially if they have always been racist/ homophobic/ sexist etc.
Being black myself, I just hope we teach our kids that all lives are the same regardless of colour and sexuality as long as the new generation are taught well, hopefully it should be fine in the future :)

why u told us about the next chapter agh this way i'll dream about seeying them playing in the water for so long waaaaaa; shouldn't she just change where she put those chapters i mean put the chapter the way china wants in the site she is using but us the international fans she just can send us the chapter to put it in the international manga sites where we can post whatever we waaaant hahahahhahahhah

If she decided to start publishing in English then yes, cause the laws different country to country, but she's only publishing 19 days in China, I dont know you guys but at least for me shes missing a huge chance, 19 days was voted as one of the best 100 mangas of all time according to the internet in a poll with more than 160.000 voters and this was a western poll, but who knows the red tape behind publishing a manga so... I think western people should start writing manga too, our censorship is pretty light

So, last time I checked chinese censorship was for a straight/josei webtoon that the author was facing a hard time to publish it in China, basically she explained that in China there is not only the censorship to publish paper books but also a different and even more strict one when publishing online, when it comes to big companies or finding a website like lezhin (for the koreans) in China they are very like a monopoly already or something like that, she talked about the publishers having access to state-issued book numbers, and if you don’t have a book number, then you cannot distribute through state-run or regular online bookstore so the authors that want to show things like pubic hair (example) they end up having to create their own websites for publishing, which is extremely expensive and even then they still have to deal with the censorship for sexual parts or intercourse. Anyhow, this particular artist ended up having to publish her book in canada if im not mistaken and with help of other editor. Im not gonna say that um exactly sure if Old Xian would still have to follow the law or not, cause I still need to learn more about the matter but maybe if she publishes under the company name? A lot of movies manage to change scenes depending on the country the movie is going to be exhibit.... I dont know, is even more sad that these young artists can't be free to express their art in their own homeland and for their own people

Actually it's not just Old Xian, censorship applies to all medias in China, a lot of chinese webtoon actually become just bromance eventho the intention of BL is pretty clear.. And I think cuz OX posted this for free in Weibo, where all ages can easily access it..
but OX probably got it worse since she is very popular and ofc have more followers, that invites attention for sure..not to mention more followers mean more haters who are ready to report in quick lightning of her every post... I think the author of Day off webtoon also post it on their weibo but that one has lots of gay scenes so idk why that can happen..

Maybe they are being published by smaller groups? We have to remember that Old Xian uses her own Weibo to publish the chapters, as one of the biggest social platforms in China this content can be accessed by many many people, thats why shes always struggling, like now she also build this strong fan base that she would have to start from scratch in other website..? I dont know, but she should give the western publishers a try, the Mospaca Team is way too good to be stuck in a homophobic country like that

She could try like Taiwan maybe..like Chai Jidan did with her film to avoid censorship..tho that also needs lot of works since OX already has firm base in her own country...
But anyway that's kinda ironic, the fact that she keeps going on strong, updating every week without fail, despite all those haters throwing bs on her all the time, and also still have to struggle with authorities yet she still willingly and steadfastly share her works for free so that us international readers can get our hands on it easily without feeling guilty of illegal translation and all...eventho if she published it as paid works I'm pretty sure there are still tons of ppl willing to buy.. And I've read before that she doesn't give a fuss about t being translated to other languages... And still many haters fretting about how the story is getting nowhere..
I saw that due to china censorship this chapter was deleted 5 times in the official website, is already the second time that Old Xian has to go through that, it was mainly because of Jian Yi butt and him being naked with Zheng Xi in the final scene, she first tried to cover them with more water but it still got deleted so now if you go to the official site they are wearing grey underwear. She said the next chap was supposed to be of them playing in the water (maybe she even had plains about jokes with them being naked) now maybe she will have to change the next chap, honestly this is so sad, if it wasn't already enough how a lot of animes are queerbait because is "too much" to just admit that they are gay, we have censorship going between boys that are just playing together? Its frustrating how asia still so conservative, like China, as one of the most populated countries in the world I can't begin to imagine the hardships that the asian LGBTQ+ community have to go through
