I actually stopped reading it after the first rape scene but I get what your saying, ot would've had a plot if it explored the rival trope a little more and them competing with each other. Maybe all that completing would find them getting closer and draw some sexual attraction or something (idk) but suddenly just turning it to blatant rape I feel like this story is just trying to make it sex based.
I wish this would stop because that's why some people have misconceptions about yaoi. They think that yaoi is suppose to be rape and a lot of sex but that's not true. Yaoi can have a lot of sex but at least with a healthy relationship, and an actual interesting story line to go in place kind of like Imae.

I gave up after the first r*pe scene because I was shocked like ??? Is he about to really do that to him?? but then although it took me awhile to read I have still read through The painter and killing stalking which is all basically the same thing
