My thoughts after finally picking this up again (after all this time)

So, I first started reading this when I was in 7th or 8th grade (probably way too young for the content) and stopped reading it because it made me feel sad and kind of sick. Today, I decided to read it again and I finished the whole thing. I, even after about 3 years or so? Still get this horrible feeling when I read this. I think that the author does extremely well in executing this story and making their audience feel many emotions while reading. And, although I feel uneasy when reading some scenes, I feel like that’s the whole point and I applaud the author for their work throughout these years.
