It's easy to undestand if you read the novel. Even so the manhua addaptation is really good

I personally recommend the novel! The translators mentioned in the early chapters that stuff might not make sense if u don’t lol.
The anime/donghua is definitely good, but it deviates quite a bit from the novel and isn’t fully finished!
