Weird I have a completely different view of this than most people seem to. I actually thought it was kind of refreshing to see Alek drop his Mr. Perfect act. And I’m not sure how people can say he’s manipulative for doing this? He obviously knew someone from the family sent fake hen, and fake hen propositioned him first. With Ivan yes, but it didn’t work anyway, and I think he’s just hiding his feelings of desperation behind a manipulative facade. It’s very BPD behaviour imo - I think his behaviour is a huge coping mechanism from trauma.

The way I see it, Alek has started to realize that he actually likes hen and that it isn’t just a fun game to mess with their relationship (while also realizing that Ivan always seems to be able to draw love to himself and stay positive while Alek always feels unloved and bitter) and the fact that someone paid a lookalike to fuck with him sent him over the edge. It kind of seems like he realized that it’s fruitless and he’s taking his anger out on this person who tried to look like him but is actually the complete opposite. He’s sort of at his wit’s end.

I think these two misfits will both end up liking and complementing each other. They probably both have trauma. Hopefully fake hen dyes his hair back so they don’t still look the same because that would be awkward lol.

It does not make it any less manipulative though. I really hate the whole feeling sympathy or being okay with behavior because of trauma.
