uh.. how can a scum of a man be pitiful?

You could probably find a scum of a man who's pitiful in a lot of these "I reincarnated as a ___'s daughter" stories. Terrible dad and human being but he has a pitiful backstory. And to boot.. he's handsome and rich.. aaaa but he might murder you if you stare at him too long. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Yes, they are a pitifull.
Cause if you know the story about how they become a scum, you will knew and think "this child actually clean but how they become scum or thrash or pitiful person is because how they brought up to their present growth."

That is quite easy to say...
Survival clenched onto them so hard that they had to sacrifice the humanity in them to do the things that were first against their views.
Surrounded with people of greed even if they share the same blood can turn anyone a scum in other people's eyes.
That man is doing out of fear.
