Dunno if you read of these smut webtoons but most of the time they make the guys super stupid so they can always dense and foolish like in secret class or my aunt.
This guy. They make him a fool like other mature comics but seems a bit puppylike due to the art style. But yeah...dont think too much about it. He was a fool for the sole purpose of perpetuating the plot.
