But it's definitely not one-sided. It's subtle but misaki shows throughout the story that he's developing feelings for Tsubasa. Like whenever Tsubasa says summer's almost over and he wondered if he could still stay, Misaki paused and then said he'd just stay anyway. That was definitely him wanting Tsubasa to stay without outright saying it.
Also we've seen Tsubasa hug Misaki many times considering how short the story is and at the end they use a whole panel showing Misaki reach up and hug him back.
And the fact that the only time Misaki smiled in the whole thing was bc of Tsubasa and also when he reached out to family he'd been pushing away just to help Tsubasa?
It seemed obvious to me how much Misaki loves Tsubasa if you paid attention to the little things.
Besides, this is yaoi. Having an idol like obsession is a pretty good pathway to true love with boys love stories hah.
Some suspension of belief, as with most works of fiction, is also required when reading stuff like this. Seems like you might be trying to put a little too much reality in there yourself, dude

You can obviously tell it's all one-sided! And don't give me that 'Masaki can't express himself' kind of crap- It felt like he was more tolerating than it being real love. I can't see a relationship like that lasting long. And I'm all about eternal love, baby!~ but this ain't the one.
