What the heck, you asshole? You were trying to make the marriage interesting by making her dependent on your whims and emotions. You're just bloody lucky she is strong and does things properly on the professional front. How could you mess with her feelings and emotions like that? A straightforward person like her... I think I personally relate to this plot. Really. How very annoying that these men for their pure selfishness try destroying the carefully built up confidence of their partners? Confidence isn't just poured into us like they bloody show in memes. It's something that grows out painful experiences and they just waltz in and destroy it.
