Disagree.. age gap relationships happen, and there are stories about them. They can't all be about what some people consider the 'right' situation for people to fall in love come together.

I’m more so focusing on teenagers. If 25 And older date whoever you want THAT IS OLDER.

By that time it’s proven that your brain has fully developed. You have an understanding or have grasped the concept of who you are and what you want from life.

There have been many cases where 18 year olds have been, in a way, brainwashed by adults. The main reason adults like to hit on teenager, other than being a pedo, is that they can be manipulated very easily. They can take advantage of the inexperienced teens and morph them into the person they feel is “fit” for them or be useful.

This goes for the twenty year old hitting on teenagers as well.

I understand what you're saying, it's just, this isn't a story about the perfect time when two fully mature , emotionally developed, age appropriate people fall in love. It's not that story. And there are many love stories that aren't that story..It's like trying to rewrite any story so it will be censored to what some people think it should be.

I’m not trying to focus on the story I was trying to focus on a topic that should be focused on more seriously. Of course this is fiction but don’t let it cloud your judgement just because older seme-kun and young uke-kun has it good for 5 chapters so life should work out like that too.

:) I have been married decades.. I was 17 when I fell in love.. my husband is 9 years older. I have some experience in this area. Not all the experience, it is my own that I am speaking from. There are many stories, this little piece of comic is the authors.. Not every story has to have a moral lesson or be a teaching device. I understand influence tho, and understand what you're saying. But you're 'focusing' on the topic and, evidently, not the story, I would guess will have little effect on the people that come to read here honestly. Just my opinion.

Don’t think too much on it. You can rave on about your beliefs but it’s very difficult to win an argument with someone who has actual experience. My parents have a ten year age gap and they’ve been married for many years. My mother is nearing sixty now and my father nearing seventy. I’d love to share their story but the thought of people judging them without even knowing them... It really makes me lose faith in humanity.

The things that should make you lose faith in humanity are unfair and unjust laws and organizations. Like the kkk, human/sex trafficking, slavery(still exists), rape and rape culture, domestic violence, child abuse, etc.

Your parents and maybe another might have experience a happy and healthy relationship, but mine and others did not. The struggles I watched my mother go through and is still suffering through makes me furious. and I’m not the only one. I have seen and met people, kids around my age, who were put the same situation I was and have seen their mothers struggle.

Your words carry the assumption that those horrific things are taken lightly by Grant Us Eyes.. It's unfair.. You're on a soap box that people in their right mind wouldn't argue with you about ,i.e. rape, child abuse, domestic violence... your argument is growing to all the evils of mankind.. kkk?... what on earth does that have to do with the original post? You take a condescending position, as if those that have a different opinion about an age gap romance don't understand all the horrors of the world. There’s a lot of things wrong with your “argument”. Don’t bring up topics unrelated to our main discussion. They have nothing to do with this. The point I was trying to make was NOT to invalidate the struggles of your mom and all the other people you’re talking about. I thought it was obvious but you immediately took in a defensive position. That’s a lot of problems to unpack there and I’m not touching that.

What I’m trying to tell you is that there are good age gap couples out there. Did I say I disagree with your other statements? No. I said I disagree with your last one. It’s close minded of you to just say “Date people your age and be safe”. Guess I can’t have a lover who’s eight years older than me regardless of the age of consent. Such a tragedy.

I hope realize the point I’m making isn’t “Teens can date adults”. I will make this clear for you. No need to put on all caps, dear. I do not condone minors being groomed by adults. Obviously. If there’s a 17 year old dating an 18 year old, I don’t care. They’re a year apart, they can wait when the other is ready. Whatever. I don’t throw around the word pedophile lightly. There are real sick men out there and outrage culture have long killed that word.

See, I’d like to bring up the circumstances of the huge age gap between my parents but despite my stance on their relationship, I still have a sliver of fear that people (like you) would lash out and scream pedophilia. It’s hard to find middle ground when it comes to these things. Different circumstances and all that. I doubt I can ever change your mind. I just wish you won’t think of me as a terrible person for disagreeing with you.

Bc someone around your age cant hurt you? Sorry but legit half of the kids in my class do drugs and smoke underage do you really think i m going to be less hurt around them than some nice person who is maybe a lil bit older than me
