this is just my opinion and i'm in no way very knowledgeable about the sex industry, but i think a major, major part of it is an issue with the industry, and not the service itself.
personally i totally agree with you! sex is just sex, and it can be like art-if it's something you're not into (like modern art lmao) then you don't gotta look at it. but there is too much wrong with the sex industry that our current society has created that makes it so easy to exploit workers and rope innocents in (whether legally or not) and it's so opaque and the companies and people behind it are awful. it's them that gives porn a truly bad name.
i think in a better world and a kinder society, we can ideally revamp the porn industry and treat it like a viable job, with unions and governmental safeguards against exploitation. but we don't have that right now, and coupled with extreme social stigma against 'selling your body' things don't look too good for people who genuinely enjoy the process of making pornography.
I just have one teensy bit of a question. It may sound weird but why can't you make art with porn? What's so wrong about it? :/
Sex workers are still workers. I hate wjen people jack off on pornstars but hate on their profession. Seems hypocrisy to me.
