You mean the first cute but boring couple with two guys who needed zero character development and are too perfect to be true? I mean, of course at the beginning it was refreshing to see their funny and cute lovestory, but now their story is told. It was about how they got together - nice. But there is nothing more to tell here.
You said the blonde guy is a jerk? Great! That's the point where we are now. Is he really just a jerk? What are his other feelings? I want to know about his real character, especially because he is a jerk! There is room for improvement and development, that's way more exciting in my opinion. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
That's the plan! I really don't want to, as I want more exploration of the MC's powers (like why the heck does he have them? What new dream will he have?) and what will happen with the guy with the shitty dad. I just am so not in the mood for asshole-ish ness and just general angst this second couple brings.
The world is stressful and shitty enough, I just want something nice and happy and chill to escape from it.

I get you OP. I'm still so jaded from irl experiences that I can't fully vibe with them. Also I did a re-read and the blond guy mainly apologized to Jihan so that he could make up with Doyun so he wasn't even truly sorry lol.
The development of the main couple has been so great and it's literally everything I wanted in a story. They're so whipped for each other it's adorable, and their communication and consideration for each other is great. And I actually find that rare in BL so my apologies if I wanna see more of that instead of the whole childhood friend trope. I'm hoping that after the 2nd couple get together we get a 3rd season focussing on where Jihan gets his powers and where we can explore Doyun's background further.

You've just articulated everything I find so bothersome with the second couple so perfectly. I'm really hoping that the second couple's season is short so we can quickly move on from them. It's so boring reading about the 'will he like me or won't he' trope over and over again.
Also there's sooo much we can explore with the first couple! Just because they got together doesn't mean we can't see more of them. People's lives don't just end after they find a partner. Like why does Jihan have those dream powers? How did he get them? What dream will he have next? Can he actually change the future with his dreams or is it inevitable (aka Doyun still getting hit by a car vs. the grandma situation). There's just so much to do with the first couple, and they are just so damn cute and supportive of each other (freaking Doyun, despite thinking the dreams weren't real, still went out of the way to constantly check on the guy he hated to make sure his own bf wasn't worried).
I don't get people who dislike the first couple, and I honestly think they're better than the second one.
Judging from the raws the next 4 chapters or so are focussed on the second couple so I'm just gonna wait it out for the next month :/
And yes exactly! There are still so many questions left unanswered. Will Jihan keep getting these dreams? Because it seems like his dreams are getting more serious and affecting his mental well-being. He can't just keep living like that. There's a supernatural premise to this story after all so it'd be weird if we veered away from it and just ended it like that.
And I absolutely loveee how supportive they are of each other. Like you said, Doyun pushed aside his own feelings because he knew how worried Jihan was, and then we had Jihan realizing that Doyun was actually hurt bc of that jerkface's actions cause he thought they were friends. And then asking if he was feeling alright because of it. IDK. I'm just. hoping for more of them and hope the focus goes back to them soon. I haven't seen any comments saying they didn't like the first couple at all but if that's the case there are tons of other stories they can read where the main couple has the same dynamics as the other two.
Unpopular opinion but I don't give a flying fuck about the second couple with the blond dude. He's still an asshole in my books for ditching the group project and leaving it to the underclassmen, and just generally his vibe is arrogant, annoying, and entitled.

Give me more of my cute first couple and their healthy relationship where they communicate and raise each other to greater heights. They're also like better people than the second couple, honestly.
