My issue is the author is attempting an actual queer narrative plot than the standard sunshine and butterflies rape to love, or abuse, or age gap, or incest etc. however they’ve down the bare minimum of making the plot believable as not actually portraying the problematic aspects of our MC as actually toxic or harmful, but rather just the growing pains of being a gay man. Our Mc is sooo impressionable and has such internalized homosexuality and repeatedly is self destructive inwardly and outwardly in creating a healthy self worth. Then we have a possible love interest in MR. M who’s an older boy likely emotionally cheating on his boyfriend with HIV, mind you HIV is not in fact a dead sentence in 2020 and hasn’t been for over 2 decades. There’s just so much about this plot is nearly there but you seriously can tell it wasn’t written by a queer man because it lacks so much proper self awareness.

Definitely!!! Especially considering how the MC feels about BL as well because a lot of it can be extremely fetish-y and uncomfortable for gay men to read but he seems accepting of it. (although I'm not discounting the fact that queer man defo do read BL because they're just so starved for representation)
Is he gonna break with the old guy cause I want to read the manga but if he end up with him then it's just a big no for me
