Ok...hold up let’s talk (educational in a way)

This is getting way to common on how the FL is forced to be married to ML and then later on in the story FL is like “oh he is so handsome and respectful to me even tho he hurt me threatened me and pinned me to the ground but like whatever he is so attractive” like WAKE UP!

I am pretty sure in most Chinese manwhas that this r@pe/forceful culture is found quite often.
To start off if you do not know what rあpe/forceful culture is it is basically this Manwha,

The FL is forced to be beside ML and through that process she gets hurt, emotionally abused and harassed by him, she escaped but since they manwha hasn’t updated I can guess that the most likely thing is that the FL wants to be with ML because she finds him attractive, after all she has been through.

Is stereotypical popularized in Asia, most from China (not targeting I’ve just wanna day from personal experience I’ve seen this culture more in Chinese manwha than Korean or Japanese). You can correct me if you want but this rあpe/forceful culture is sickening because it is mistreating the FL and the making sound like it’s ok to forcefully drag FL through the hall way, or pin them and then start forcefully kissing FL or EVEN drugging a drink so then ML can just be satisfied.

Sadly this culture is popularized and some use it for views. If this rあpe/forceful culture gets spread all over the world and then people start to think it is acceptable and attractive and SEXY!!! then we are basically repeating history.

You may enjoy reading these types of book or manwhas but always remember that when rあpe/forceful culture is being applied to the plot always think twice and always think if both FL/ML have full agreement with each other.

You can correct or critic any of the statements but rあpe/forceful culture is still rあpe/forceful culture at the end of every day.

I completely agree. I hate comments that are like, “oh, if you don’t like it, then just leave?” Girl? You really enjoy reading RAPE stories? Seems like somethings wrong with your empathy for other people?

Ignoring comments and continuing to make shitty stories with rape being normalised is like saying that rape is ‘ok’. It’s never okay! I really think writers should stop pretending it’s okay to force someone to have sex without a persons consent. It’s brushing off rape victims in real life that have gotten trauma from the incident(s), and saying, “no, it’s okay. It’s JUZT A STORY.” Like, shut up. Even if it’s a story, it doesn’t make it “better”.

Yeah! I’ve noticed that Manhuas have a rape-story like thing going on. Which is why, I never read them. They make the female lead stupid, naive, dense, and weak. And make the story plot the same.

“Oh, my friends forced me to attend this party, and I got kidnapped by a rich guy. I have to get married to him because I have a toxic household—“ like shut up omg. There are multiple ways to become independent without someone’s proposal. You don’t need to marry someone for power. It literally comes down to what YOU do. What you do instead of crying and whining all day. Getting out isn’t easy, but I hate the facts that authors make the female lead extremely stupid, to the point she doesn’t have a single thing that’s interesting about her.

And even if there’s a “strong” female lead story, she’s always getting in situations where the male lead walks in on her changing or some shit. The cliche trope is way too much used.
