yeah because we're thirsty for more romantic moments between NK and SH at this point ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ it might be past lover though, there's a possibility, but they said that SH stopped fucking his sex buddies and spending his time with just one person. based on what happened during the previous updates, SH stopped going to the male gangbang gathering (?) and the dude in green (the curly jealous dude) was mad that he just spend his time with NK. so everyone just straight up assuming that they were talking about NK though it was just the talks of the villagers and might be just a rumour,and they didn't actually get engaged. though it's interesting that the mangaka decided to bring the marriage topic herself. if they didnt get married people would be pissed and if they did get married some would still be pissed as it's supposed to be joseon period which doesn't allow sex marriage at all

I have a hard time believing he was engaged to someone in his past. He doesn’t look like the type of person who would be in such a serious relationship so I’m sure it’s Nakyum.
i suppose you are right. But considering his servant said SH went through something bad in has past, it just seems to me that it was a possibility. Also just because someone is engaged doesn't mean there has to be love or commitment involved. And it seems that SH has always lived by his father's "principles", but added his own twist to it in order to prove a point. Ive had other theories before too on what that bad event might have been, but after this new piece of info, it didnt seem too far fetched. Obviously something happened that caused SH to snap, although it could have been something unrelated when he was younger. Since he displayed questionable behavior even when he was younger, as he stated during the paintbrush scene where he had NK pinned down. I can't wait for our questions to be answered. At this rate anything is possible. Someone above mentioned it could all just be town gossip, and SH isnt engaged to anyone. It just seems strange that the author chose that specifically as the trailer for season 2 if it were just meant to be an idle rumor.
I notice many assume the fiance panel refers to Nakyum, or are hopeful about it. But what if his fiance is in reference to Seungho's past? Past lover perhaps? The one who possibly hurt him? Or maybe something happened to his fiance which is why he went cray cray? UGHHHHH point is i can't wait for the next season!!!!!! The anticipation is killing meeeee
