Maybe the two of them knows that they will be promised in the future. They still think that Jennette is Claude's daughter so Mr. White must have been planning to make his son the husband of Jennette. And Jennette is still a child, she doesnt even thought about romantic love yet that's why Ijekiel refutes her. Ijekiel also knows that the mere existence of Jennette will hurt Athy so when he said that Athy is the mosy important person in his life, it means he is siding with Athy, not Jennette and whatever Mr. White plans to do.
Okay, Ijekiel’s gone too far, I mean who hurt you? She wasn’t even confessing or anything and he just straight up told her “oh, you’re nowhere as important as the princess”. Bruh I used to dislike Jeannette so much since she kinda took away Athy’s happiness indirectly, but now I just feel bad for her. Won’t be supprised if she ended up being twisted and bitchy.
