it was on the novel that Jeanette loved Ijekel but got rejected by Athy. Jeanette came up to him and said some shit like you still love her when she don’t love you back but in a very seeming tone. There r more instances of these things happening. And don’t forget that she didn’t help Athy in the original story even tho she could have.

athy ends up with lucas and lucas helps claude regain his memories by getting a fruit from the life tree or whatever it name was (at least in the novel iirc)
iirc lucas also takes away jeanettes curse and she ends up becoming athys sister
