Idk if this is unpopular or not and I might get hate for this but this author seems to have a hard time with plots, or at least executing them smoothly. I adore their art and all but the writing seems jumbled and the plot feels a bit messy. I just remember in A Guy Like You it started out ok but then went to "wtf is going on" once the antagonist was introduced, it was truly confusing. I had a bit more hope for this one but then the whole "I remember you from when we were kids but you don't" thing came up again and I'm just unsure now.

omg i thought of this too lmao i dropped A Guy Like You because it became confusing when the antagonist came, I thought this will be a bit better than the author's previous work but idk honestly, maybe it's still too early ro judge but i hope everything gets better throughout

Same. I dropped it because it went downhill when the villain showed up. Also the uke gets on my nerves. Everything is a mess. I don't like it so I deleted it from my reading list. It's only interesting at first.

Yah I'm really just hoping I'm judging it too early and it ends up great. Just after that moment I got a funny feeling in my stomach like "oh no, it's happening again".
