If it's the best I don't know, but one thing I know is this MC is the most miserable. I cried so hard when I read about his past ╥﹏╥
Well for me MDZS is the best one but eveeyone has their own opinions(づ￣ ³￣)づ but i have to admit I totally fell for this story too. But I think Xie Lian is the most pitiful...like goddamnit i cried so hard reading about his hardships. I can never bring myself to re read those parts in the novel. I somehow survided Wei Ying's sufferings(i cried like shit there too) but i cant with xie lian
I agree, the story is beautiful, the characters the angst, everything. But even if this story is better my favorite is still mdzs it has settled in my heart and will never leave
The fact that he went though all that shit and still has a good heart amazes me
I liked MDZS as well, Wei Ying and Wang ji’s relationship is honestly adorable but I think Xie Lian’s past and Hua Chang’s past and how they intertwine together had slightly better storyline and all those years they spent together despite having a different identity in each one was beautiful
I think this is the best out of this author’s 3 works... reading the novel the whole storyline, the plot twists, characters and the relationship is all amazing and beautiful. The relationship between Huacheng and the crown prince is so adorable but at the same time heart breaking, I saw a trailer for an anime adaptation and I hope it can really convey the feelings they have for one another despite the restriction due to China’s laws
