Yes I agree. I'm only reading this cuz the other authors manga was dope af so I'm giving this story far too much opportunity.
Somehow... I'm kinda annoyed, or rather vexed, by the main girl. I love her curiosity and her "otaku-ness" and her ambition. However, I find her a bit self-serving and obnoxious...? Like, yes, I understand that she doesn't want to come to ruin. But she doesn't really consider other people... not her parents or even the balance of the kingdom and world. I like her character but something about her makes me irritated about the way her obsession makes her frustratingly difficult to empathize with.
