I agree I'm especially disappointed because Nekota Yonezou is one of my favourite mangaka. They're usually good at creating interesting dynamics between characters but this work here is just a mess with no logic at all. Also their other mangas do have clichés in them but it's never that bad... In Hidoku Shinaide the relationship was very toxic at first but they corrected their own work by acknowledging how flawed the relationship initially was and making it progress into something much more healthy. Here it's just toxic from beginning to end. There is no progression and it's too frustrating. I enjoyed the art as usual but yeah overall I'm super disappointed.
Oh my god that manga! I was rolling all over my bed when the seme was begging for forgiveness HAHAHA I loved it! Would've preferred the seme to suffer a teeny tiny bit more but oh well. The uke got his revenge ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I 100% agree with you! I started reading it because I like the mangaka, the art and it seemed like enemies to lovers which is my favorite trope but this is unbalanced, this is not healthy and if this dynamic doesn’t change I can’t support this couple. It’s just disappointing bc there are not so many stories where the seme has this queen vibe and that’s why I was excited in the first place... but to waste this potential for a seme that’s literally just bad and doesn’t have any kind of development, like we either see him mad or horny, or mischievous but never sad, worried or in love, or actually doubting. He’s so sure about himself but that’s also partly the ukes fault for always reassuring him, instead of making him sit back and think about his behavior...sad :(

Oh, I remember that one. I liked that he "repented" but... at the same time, it still struck me as a lil' weird? Like he went too quickly from using the uke as a plaything to being unable to go on without him? IIRC, at the time I thought t was a lil' too drastic and fast, and the seme's change of heart could have taken more chapters in order to seem more gradual and not to give readers a whiplash... But don't take me too seriously on this, I don't remember it all that well).
I seriously think the real, underhanded point of the chapter was not to give the seme his "comeuppance", but rather to lay the foundations for future plot twists featuring this Hinata guy (plot twists which may give the seme a *real* comeuppance, rather than this one...) and this chapter was mostly just to prime readers for those plot twists, by making them lowkey more curious about this one character (and about why the seme seems to fear *him* more than anybody..). If that's true, the whole "vengeance" thing was just an excuse for the author to set this whole other "Hinata" thing in motion, and we'll rather get to see Hacchi having a real hard time in future chapters.
I kinda agree and I think you’re right but at the same time I can’t help but think, why need a third character butting in just so that the seme has it a bit more difficult. As if his behavior wasn’t enough for a normal thinking person in the ukes place to say:„ stop not like this my dude“ and then staying away from hachhi to let it sink in. honestly I’m just on board if hinata gets his own little side story lol. Cause introducing him to make him the cock block that makes the seme suffer, instead of the uke standing up for himself doesn’t sit well with me in this manga. :)
I’m trying so hard to stay calm. I could actually throw my phone against the wall right now. I don’t like that friend so much either, he looks good but his personality probably isn’t that good either but honestly I’d take him if that means leaving this god damn fucked asshole of a seme. They even just had fun with a day in the aquarium, we didn’t see that with the seme and the uke. No we see that the fucking seme is a piece of shit, that manipulates, uses, mistreats, neglects but at the same time stalks the uke. Treating him like a possession, while not making their relationship clear, posting pics of himself with the intention to possibly get some and idk if I recall it correctly but didn’t he also have some side baes. Honestly this character makes my blood boil. And I was so happy when they said that they’ll make him pay. And then this failure of a Chapter comes along. WTF. How did he pay? What changed about his behavior? What did the uke achieve? The uke is also a walking stupid ass with no thinking. How can he not slap away his hands and stand up for himself? Why is he so easy and quick to forgive? This situation didn’t solve anything. Yeah now he knows that the seme „cares“ (more like he was pissed that he couldn’t stalk with his illegally downloaded app). But he knew about the possessive thinking before. So what was made clear ? Nothing !
At the same time I’m thinking that i have to be stupid too for still reading it, even though I know in my heart that the seme won’t change and that the uke won’t end up with someone else and those are the only endings that I can accept .
Yeah now the next chapter will be some kind of half assed assurance and then „punishment“ sex. #－.－) I should stop reading this manga
I think what makes me sad the most, is that this manga could have beeen so good and the seme too but then this potential was destroyed by this most definitely irredeemable seme
