So the ending actually sad but what happens is the master gets a flashback or something and gains power to defeat him. They were suppose to kill him but the master couldn't instead he destroyed his cultivation which made the mc heartbroken. He thought his master threw him away and didn't want him and such and didn't know his master actually saved him. In despair he threw himself off the cliff. It was too high up and the master tried to get him but was pulled back. But the mc didn't die instead he was protected by that I think the ring his master gave him or it was something I forgot since it was a long time ago but the other discipline the guy with brown hair and was his friend found him and also this demon girl. They saved him and took him away before anyone else could find him and they thought he was dead. In the end the author made this passage about how time passes and happiness doesn't always last and just really sad and complicated chinese idioms about life. In all the master is filled with guilt, and the mc is still possessed by the demon thingy but they go there serperate ways.
