The key difference between those two is that Killing Stalking was clearly shown and accepted as messed up (or likes Your majesty I want you). They are psycological story taking a deep look at abuse, toxic relashionship and the damage they caused. Stories like On the Emperor's lap are often meant to trully be a representation of "true love" overcoming abuse and trauma. They are glorifying second chances for abusers, often shift the blame on the FL who wasn't good enought because not emotional enought, overshining the ML making him have an inferiority complex and so on...

I know everyone is against the emperor but have you read killing stalker and the fact people stil shipped them this doesn't in anyway justify what he did but like-
