I think it has multiple meanings. Obvious the the allusion to the phallus and to the banana cartoon character. Also in reference to the slur “banana” that’s referenced in an earlier chapter. Which means an Asian person who acts white. There might even be more meanings to it that the author has yet to reveal to us.
