The hand holding scene has a different feel from the novel. On the last page Shize says he will take his time seducing her; I didn’t feel it in the manga as much. In the novel, it felt very sensual which made me think, ‘yup he has to be the ML’. That mature mutual connection, it’s to good for him not to be the ML.
