Yea it was horrible. Long hair has such significance in certain cultures and for it to be forcibly cut off is very horrid. It's like force feeding a Muslim person pork. Many Native American men were forced to cut off their hair in many circumstances.

Most of the time when I call out nasty shit and bad behavior in a manhwa's fandom, I get a shit ton of hate. like I called out the gaslighting and unnecessary hatred on Uriel in the Lamia Orphe is Dead comment section and then also for the Uncle Cool comment section, I called out the age gap and how disgusting it was. Deadass the story starts with her being 16 and the ML being 32. I expected them to be in their 20's with maybe a 7year age gap tops but no... And the ML literally views himself as like a mom taking care of a child multiple times throughout the first chapters and it's beyond disgusting. People like to excuse it by saying that stuff doesn't happen until the time skip or whatever when the girl is 19 but ??? She still was treated and viewed as a child by the ML who is twice her age.
I can't tell whether it's because most of the fanbases are younger readers or they're just crazed and only care about seeing their ship sail. Maybe both. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about all this weird and nasty immoral crap.

Within the first 8 chapters, the ML is constantly forced to cross dress against his will and after being taken in by the Wolf Queen, he's coerced and threatened into having sex with her. It's fucking disgusting. Everyone likes to stand up for a woman's rights when it comes to sexual assault and harassment but often times when it happens to a man, people tend to be a lot more quiet about it. I understand that rape happened a lot back then quite openly, but the fact that it is romanticized through him eventually ending up with her because they're end game, is horrible. Sexual abuse is never okay and people who ship sexual abusers with their victims need to unpack some shit. Yes, I am calling y'all out.
