no don’t worry,i think what she meant about the curse is her being the heroine,not being able to escape the fate and choose her own life.she’s binded by the book so she had to live by it.like what melissa said in the latest chapter,yuri invited them to tea not bc she wanted to but bc she had to bc it’s written in the book.but the fact that melissa is breaking and changing the plot is giving her hope that she actually might be able to escape the book’s original plot
