People are like, "Please don't hate Chen Shou." Ummm I'm an artist and if someone stole one of my paintings it would be murder time. "But he's in love and she'll never love him back!” Yeah, that's sad. Doesn't justify stealing someone's painting. "But he redeems himself later!” Ok. Cool. Until then, I'm gonna be pissed off at him. You're allowed to judge characters based on the information you've been given so far and change your mind later as the characters grow. That's how stories are meant to be consumed.
