Thats awkwardly tru... but we all know Aseph is supposed to be that way cuz he is twisted since before and it was why he died in the book so... not romantized at least LOL
AND there are plenty of yaoi and josei that starts with rape and sexual harassment as a way to express they love and they never discuss about it.. Its kinda refreshing that Zay knows he isnt healthy and want to be better and Aseph himself knows he isnt good as well
In the end I think and hope that it will be a good healthy relationship
it's not that romanticized though, the plot clearly show why he become this way and why he act this way. and the FL still in love with him knowing all his history so it's not romantic or that toxic. she chooses to be with him so..
I'm not talking about yaoi, I talk about shoujo, believe it or not, it more toxic then yaoi XD Zay isn't the only FL that know her ML isn't healthy and still stay with him. it's a classic trop.
